August training
Preparations for the planned August Primary Literacy training are well under way.
Valerie Pottinger-Noble and Stuart Roberts, two literacy experts from the UK, will be in Nigeria for 6 days in August. They will train 80 teachers from three schools.
There will obviously be news on this when you return from the holidays

Curricula
A few months ago, I mentioned the curriculum project we are working on. Before mid-August, we shall have overviews and plans for the Nigerian, British and Combined curricula.

Recruitment has been going on full steam!
We have placed scores of Nigerian teachers and eight expatriates for September in schools in and out of Lagos State.
Our partners’ Select Education International have been very supportive, especially as it has not been easy convincing candidates about security and kidnappings in Nigeria!!
